The Moon

The program “Ancient Aliens” make an interesting observation regarding the moon. The moon is exactly the correct size and distance from the earth to allow for a total eclipse. Is that a coincidence or was it planned. The fact is that is simply a matter of coincidence of time. It works today but did not work in the past and will not be the case in the future:

Did the Moon used to be closer to the Earth?

“Today, the moon is moving about 1.5 inches further away from the Earth every year. Planetary scientists have calculated the distance between the Earth and the Moon backwards in time and found that the moon used to be seventeen times closer (14,000 miles vs. 250,000 miles) when it formed.”
